Sunflower oil is produced from the seeds of sunflower.

Sunflower, depending on its species, gets mature enough to be harvested 120 days after planting. This means July or August. Towards the harvest time, sunflower's stem, leaves and receptacle fade, yellow flowers around the receptacle fall, protective leaves around the receptacles turn brown and humidity rate in the seed decreases below 25%
